DSCSport V3 Controller

Available for all viper models fitted with PASM, the V3 Controller is a simple Plug N Play controller that replaces the factory PASM controller, offering both improved track performance and street comfort. Like all DSC Sport controllers, it allows users to tune by g-force, brake pressure, acceleration, speed, steering, and control the effective damping range via shock calibration. Additionally, the V3 Controller introduces a velocity table and magnetic motor mount tuning control.

The V3 Controller also introduces the ability to tune by velocity, made possible by the factory four wheel ride height sensors now equipped viper models. Velocity tuning allows adjustment based on the velocity of the piston rod movement, more accurately tuning the chassis to road surface changes. This feature provides a new dimension of tuning that maximizes both performance and comfort.

TPC Racing Newest Build now features DSCsport Active Suspension

Dylan Murry

We are proud to be sponsoring Dylan Murray. Dylan began his racing carer at the early age of 9 and quickly established himself as one of the sports rising stars.

2017 brought Dylan his 12th championship and the “President’s Award” from Atlanta Motor Speedway. In addition, Dylan made his debut in NASCAR K&N series where he won rookie of the race, Coca-Cola move of the race and Brembo brake challenge awards. Dylan has over 60 career feature wins.

In 2016 he received the “Gorsline Scholarship” and David Ragan “Sportsman Of The Year” awards.

The Proof is in the Data: DSC For Camaro is a Game Changer

Geared with his 997.1 GT3, a laptop, a select few tools, and a box of DSC Sport controllers, DSC Sport staffer Tom Chan made his way to Summit Point Motorsports Park for the Chin Track Days weekend August 5-6. Tom attended the event for two reasons: to pilot his own heavily modified GT3 (equipped with DSC Sport and Tractive DDA) around his favorite local track and to offer support and trial sessions for both DSC Sport customers and potential customers.

Piloting a 2017 ZL1 Camaro, local track rat Luke McGrew took Tom up on his offer and gave the DSC Sport V2 Controller a trial run. He was blown away by the performance. In fact, Luke was gracious enough to supply us with the AIM data captured from his best run without DSC vs his best run with DSC, and the results are irrefutable.

Analysis

In all categories, the DSC Sport controller excelled. The most of important data, of course, is the 1.374 second improvement in lap time. However, breaking it down further we see major improvements in grip level.

The data above demonstrates an average (average of left and right) increase in lateral g-force of nearly 10%! Furthermore, the max g-force achieved on acceleration saw a significant increase (0.12 G), indicating a drastic improvement in the ability to get off the corner and put power down.

DSC Sport-tuned Gen 6 Camaro Claims Victory at 2017 SCCA Mineral Wells CAM Challenge

DSC Sport beta tester and 2017 Camaro SS 1LE owner, Robert Weathers, teamed up with fellow competitor and friend, Chad Langley, at the recent 2017 SCCA Mineral Wells CAM Challenge to co-pilot the car to a CAM C class victory.

After weeks of getting a feel for the DSC Sport controller in his 2017 Camaro SS 1LE (“MCFLY”) on the street, beta tester Robert Weathers felt it was time to put the technology to the test.

“I knew the car was working much better, and could tell the difference in my own performance as a driver, because it gave me a level of confidence I did not have previously…Once I knew how fast, how quick, MFLY had become, it was clear that there was only one way to prove it, in competition.”

After turning some respectable laps on day one at the 2017 SCCA Mineral Wells CAM Challenge, Weathers decided to take things a step further by inviting his co-competitor and friend, Chad Langley, to drive the car and provide his feedback.

Langley had just finished his last run of the day in his own car with a respectable 70.9, but it was outside fifth place and a trophy for CAM C. He exited his 2017 Camaro ZL1 (running on Potenza RE71R’s) and hopped into Weathers’ MCFLY (running Goodyear F1 Supercar 3’s and a DSC Sport controller) and before long set a 69.6, a full 1.3 seconds better than his best lap in his own car! Langley was so impressed with the DSC Sport system that he asked if Weathers would consider a co-driving arrangement for the following day’s “Challenge” segment.

“[He] read my mind! What an opportunity to see just what MCFLY is capable of with a very seasoned and respected young driver that has a habit of winning when he’s got the right horse!” Weathers recalls.

The next morning, both Langley and Weathers qualified for the Challenge in MCFLY, where Langley posted his best time of the event at 68.708. The time was within hundredths of that put up by the most feared CAM C car there, Sticky Motorsports’ highly-modified 5^th Gen Camaro.

With diminishing performance due to high tire temps Weathers and Langley never expected to run in the Championship round. But round after round, Langley drove MCFLY to victory despite the competitors’ best efforts. Team Sticky had two highly experienced drivers, so Langley had to beat the Sticky Camaro two times to reach the championship. Weathers recalls his own concerns as the competition (and tires) heated up:

“Team Sticky had three highly experienced drivers, so that dang car had to be defeated three times, because every one of them qualified for the Challenge! Between rounds they cooled their tires spraying water, as I watched and worried about tire temps. It was one and done, win or go home, when Chad [Langley] laid down a 69.5 on hot tires, putting pressure on Team Sticky to perform a flawless run for the win, but we knew it was over when the event announcer said, ‘Lamming has hit a cone!’”

Despite a raw time just a few hundredths faster than Langley’s, Team Sticky clipped a cone in the Championship round solidifying an unexpected upset victory for Weathers, Langley, and DSC Sport. Weathers adds that after the victory, DSC Sport was the talk of the paddock.

“After [Langley’s] victory, I was bombarded with questions about the ‘magic Mag-Ride Box’ story that was going around.”

DSC Sport-tuned GT350 Shows Incredible Gains at Summit Point

Summit Point, WV – During a day of testing and driver coaching, both DSC Sport staff and customer, Simeon Bright, found incredible gains in the Mustang GT350 when using the DSC Sport V2 controller. Harris Levitas of TPC Racing and DSC Sport spent the day coaching a local client in his Mustang GT350 at Summit Point Motorsports Park, Main Circuit. Regardless of driver and time of day, the duo found consistent gains of 1.5 to 2.0 seconds when using the DSC Sport V2 controller.

Levitas, DSC Sport employee and driver coach, noticed significant improvements with the latest DSC Sport calibration file for the Mustang, despite a hot, greasy afternoon track.

“Way better back to power. Way better than in April. I couldn’t believe what a difference it made, especially in the afternoon! I couldn’t get power down very well at all with the stock unit. Put the DSC back in, and it hooked right up!” Recalls Levitas.

Harris wasn’t able to accompany the local customer to his track outing on Wednesday, but the customer was sure to send a few texts reemphasizing his own enthusiasm for the DSC Sport controller:

“Brought the 1:27 down to a 1:25 today! Car feels great! I’m amazed at how much smoother the ride is in addition to the performance improvement; it just floats over bumps!”
